Hello beautiful backers!
Surveys have gone out just now.
These few quick questions will help me get the final versions of The Reluctant Queen and The Chosen Sons completed and proofs ordered. Since the campaign was such a huge success, I've decided to include every single backer in the special art project I'm working on as a thank you. I need to know how you would like your name to appear on this page in the book. If I do not hear from you by 10/19, I will use either your first name or username as it appears on your Kickstarter account.
I will send another survey out soon thought BackerKit to collect further information and additional add-ons.
Please get these surveys back to me asap so we can keep the ball rolling. I'd like to order proofs before the end of the month because they take a while to print and also ship. Shipping on proofs is painfully slow so I don't want that to hold us up.

Hi everyone!!
Wow.
That is all I've been thinking for the past few days. Just WOW.
I could not have asked for a better first campaign and I just want to thank you all for your support. Together, we are making this project happen.
I can't wait to get my hands on all the new books!
So next steps... ???
I'm figuring this all out as I go so bear with me while I get my post-campaign feet on solid ground.
- Kickstarter takes up to two weeks to process and release the funds so we're on pause for the moment, but I'm still working on lots of creative tasks, mainly the special edition covers for The Chosen Sons and the coloring books.
- In the meantime, I'm working on setting up your surveys that we'll be sending out soon to start collecting the information we'll need to fulfill your orders. Things like addresses, and how you want your name to appear in the thank you art page that's going to be SO cool I almost can't handle not showing you the mockup right this second, but I want it to be a surprise! Keep an eye out for those surveys so we can make this all go as smoothly and quickly as possible. We need your names as soon as possible to complete the art and get the proofs ordered so the sooner you get those back to me, the faster you'll get your books ;)
- Once I have the final formatting completed, I will order proofs of The Reluctant Queen while I'm waiting on final proofreading for The Chosen Sons and The Lost Son. As soon as I have the proof, I'll do a special unboxing video of the hardcover and the paperback and hopefully the coloring book too (It's almost ready to order!)
I'll keep everyone updated at every step of the way! Thank you all again for an amazing campaign! You have no idea what this means to me that you're all as excited about this book as I am.

Hello to my incredible backers 💖
We have surpassed my wildest expectation as well as every single stretch goal and push goal! As I write this update, the 150th backer just came in to meet the final push goal!
All backers will be entered into the giveaways mentioned on the sales page and in my last few updates.
The full color Valsgard map posters are happening! I'm so excited to show you the proof when it arrives.
I'm adding one last Stretch Goal for Thea stickers!
If we can reach $8,500 by the close of the campaign early on Sunday (around 9 am EST on Oct 9th) then we're going to do new stickers using Thea's character art. I think we're going to do this one without her wings in her human form. (Still talking that over with my designer.)
We still have 32 hours to go before the campaign closes, so anything can happen. Who knows, I might even need to come up with another stretch goal by tomorrow! Every time I think things are winding down, it picks back up again and I'm honestly just shook, ya'll lol. I came into this project with zero expectations. This campaign was meant to be a learning experience on this new-to-me platform--which is certainly has--but the response for this project has been overwhelming and so humbling.
I appreciate each and every one of you more than you could imagine! And I'm so excited for the next phase of fulfilling all your orders and seeing all the artistic elements come to life.

I didn't even get to update the campaign page before we blew past the $8500 stretch goal. New Thea stickers are happening!
And I just wanted to pop in really quick to give you an update on our last stretch goal. If we hit $10,00--and I can't even believe I just typed that--then everyone will get a full color copy of the surprise thank you art that will go in the front of the special edition. The art will include all your names and you will either get it as a poster or as digital art depending on your backing track. (Poster's will be available as add-ons if we make it happen!)

Happy Sunday!
I have a few fun announcements to share. I finished the interior artwork for the special edition and have submitted the files to the printer for the proof copy. I'll still have some final adjustments to make, but as soon as the files are approved, I'll order a copy and make an unboxing video so you all can see the book as soon as I get it.
You guys delivered on over 100 backers for our first push goal. (See updates and new push goal below.) You also unlocked the 5th Stretch Goal! Alithea Character cards are in the works! I'm waiting to hear back from my designer, but we should be able to do some gold foil detail on these cards!
We're already heading toward the final stretch goal for full color map posters.
I'm hoping the printer will work with me to add a frame around the edges to enhance the poster art and if I have time, I might add a few new details ;)
Since we crushed the goal of 100 backers for this push goal, as it sits, all backers up through midnight (EST) on October 4th will be entered into the giveaway.
As a reminder, the giveaways are listed at the end of this email. And since you guys hit the goal days ahead of the target date, I'm offering a new push goal.
Here's how it works. We currently have 108 backers and 6 days left to go. If we can hit at least 150 backers by the end of the campaign, then ALL backers will be entered to win one or more of the prizes below. So if you've been lurking and following the campaign, or you know someone who would loves these books, now's the time to choose your reward tier (or upgrade your current one), and tell your friends, so you don't miss out on these rewards. I'll announce the winners on October 9th (prizes will be purchased and shipped after the campaign funds have been collected).
There are three prizes.
Third prize: Once we hit 150 backers, everyone who backs before October 9th will get my Dystopian Novella "The Culling" in ebook format. (All current backers have earned this reward as of 10/1)
Second Prize: Once we hit 150 backers, everyone who backs with a pledge of $1 to $50 will be entered to win a cool Viking themed prize (ONE winner only). First Prize:
Once we hit 150 backers, everyone who backs with a pledge of $50 or higher will be entered to win an authentic Viking drinking horn and stand (I want one of these for my bookshelf!) and a viking bracelet. (ONE winner only.) I may also include one of the second prize items as well. (I'm digging the hair jewelry).(All current backers at this level are already entered as of 10/1.)
